Ancestral Remembering and Reckoning

Part of facing empire and centuries of colonial and religious rule is to start to trace back the radiance of our ancestral lines. Most of us come from complex histories of perpetrator and perpetrated within the ongoing cycle of violence that our modern economic and governance ​models are based on.

For many people conditioned white there can be a disconnection from our ancestral lines that makes it difficult to connect at first with these histories.

I also usually weave in ancestral work into my retreats and rituals based on the needs and context of the people and setting.
