Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction
MBSR is eight week course that offers systematic mindfulness training shown to relieve stress and health problems related to stress. Research shows it effective in reducing depression and anxiety and stress related symptoms in heart disease, cancer, chronic pain, skin ailments, asthma, sexual difficulties and many other conditions.
I am trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and teach mindfulness retreats, classes and courses
throughout the Bay Area in the public and private sector. I am also currently in the Spirit Rock and Insight
Meditation Society’s teacher training program with Jack Kornfield, Trudy Goodman, Joseph Goldstein,
Philip Moffitt, Gil Fronsdale and others.
Mindfulness Based Emotional Balance
A nine week course with weekly classes and two daylong retreats. This course integrates emotional regulation skills and the practices of forgiveness, kindness and compassion into Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction curriculum.
Mindfulness Retreats & Daylongs
As adjunct to therapy, taking time away from the stressors of daily life to attend a retreat centered around mindfulness meditation practice provides an in depth experience of the benefits of mindful awareness that enriches one personally and professionally. Retreats offer mindfulness instruction, time for contemplation and practice periods.
Cutting Through Fear with the Feeding your Demons Process
Developed by Tibetan Buddhist teacher and visionary Lama Tsultrim Allione, Feeding your Demons is an effective five step process that transforms the blocked energy in fear, addiction and difficult emotions. I will be authorized to offer this process in session in the fall of 2013.
